At the heart of the Hiking X Boot is a lightweight ribbed 3D knitted stretch sock, delivering a close, adaptive fit that moves naturally with your foot. This creates a true barefoot feel with structured support, allowing precise feedback from the boat while maintaining the stability needed for aggressive hiking and high-load manoeuvres.

The standout ZhikGrip™ II bonded and stitched top panel is specifically designed to maximise friction against the deck edge and hiking straps, helping you stay locked in and efficient when fully powered up. Underfoot, the high-grip sole offers advanced durability and confidence-inspiring traction on wet, fast-moving decks.

Zhik has partnered with Michelin to deliver next-level outsole performance. The Michelin outsole with “Fibrelite” technology uses rubber with an internally laminated fabric to significantly improve tear strength resistance keeping the sole lightweight, flexible and exceptionally tough. A cold-cemented construction further enhances longevity, making this boot ready for season after season of hard use.

Protection is engineered where sailors need it most. Stitched reinforcement around the toe box, a durable rubber-coated heel panel, and a high-walled outsole work together to defend against abrasion and impact without compromising feel. Practical finishing details such as the low-profile Velcro® ankle strap with anti-slip channel, webbing heel loop, and integrated drainage ports ensure a secure fit, easy entry, and fast water release during intense racing.
